Kenny’s Canine is hiring an experienced Pet Care Specialist to provide dog walking, pet sitting, and farm animal care, including horses and goats. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with commission-based compensation.

This role is best suited for someone confident in handling large animals, comfortable working independently, and seeking flexible, performance-based income.

<Responsibilities>

• Professional dog walking (all sizes and temperaments)
• Drop-in pet sitting visits
• Overnight pet sitting (in client homes, as assigned)
• Feeding, watering, turnout, and monitoring of horses and goats
• Hay replenishment and basic barn care
• Administering medications (if experienced)
• Detailed updates through our client management app
• Maintaining high safety and care standards

<Requirements>

• Experience in dog handling, pet or pet sitting preferred
• Hands-on horse handling experience (required)
• Farm animal experience (goats preferred)
• Dog handling experience (professional preferred)
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
• Weekend and holiday availability (rotating)
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning or moving supplies and animals
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
• Basic understanding of dog training techniques and behavioral management
• Prior kennel experience or veterinary experience is highly desirable
• Compassionate attitude combined with energetic enthusiasm for caring for animals in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $300.00 - $600.00 per week

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
