Pet Care Specialist (Pet Sitter & Dog Walker)

We’re expanding our pet care services in the 28411 / Porters Neck area and are looking for dependable, local Pet Care Specialists to join our team.

This is a PRN (as-needed) position with variable hours based on client demand. There are no guaranteed weekly hours, making this a great fit for someone with a flexible schedule who wants to pick up work as it becomes available.

As our client base grows, there will be opportunities for more consistent scheduling over time.

Services You May Be Scheduled For

• Dog walking
• Drop-in pet care visits
• Evening visits
• Weekend coverage
• Occasional overnight pet sitting in client homes

Key Responsibilities

• Safely walk dogs of all sizes, including large breeds
• Provide in-home pet care based on client instructions
• Complete overnight stays when scheduled
• Monitor pet health, behavior, and overall well-being
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and management

Scheduling & Hours

• PRN / As-needed schedule
• Hours vary week to week based on client demand
• Shifts may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights
• No guaranteed minimum hours

Requirements

• Must live in or very close to the 28411 service area
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable handling dogs 50–100+ lbs
• Strong communication and reliability
• Flexible availability is required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
