Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Sitter to provide exceptional care for pets in their home environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being while their owners are away. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Duties

• Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the pets in your care.
• Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the pet owner or veterinarian.
• Engage with pets through playtime and exercise to promote their physical and mental well-being.
• Perform basic grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing when necessary.
• Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are used during handling to maintain safety for both the sitter and the pet.
• Communicate regularly with pet owners regarding their pet's status and any issues that may arise.
• Assist with heavy lifting of larger animals or equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pet care, kennel work, or pet sitting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of animal behavior and basic training techniques is a plus.
• Experience as a veterinary technician or in animal care settings is beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., large dogs or equipment).
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both pets and their owners.
• Must be responsible, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
• Flexibility in scheduling is preferred to accommodate various client needs.
