The Role: We are seeking a perceptive and passionate leader to drive the customer and employee experience for our pet sitting, dog walking, and pet taxi services. You will be the primary mentor for our large team of part time field employees across our service area (i.e. Arlington, Falls Church, Alexandria, select DC Neighborhoods). You will be responsible for hiring, training, maintaining service quality control, and resolving any issues that arise day to day with the team or with customers. You will work close with the Office Operations Manager and team on a daily basis.
What You’ll Do:
- Recruitment & Culture: Coordinate with the HR Manager to find professional and responsible animal lovers. You will be responsible for interviewing.
- Training & Coaching: Lead the onboarding and continuous education of our field team, helping them grow their animal skills and behavior knowledge. This includes scheduling and delivering training sessions, tracking attendance and application of the training, measuring success, and continuously enhancing the training modules and program.
- Quality Excellence: Conduct field reviews and performance check ins to ensure pet safety and customer satisfaction remain our top priorities.
- Operational Leadership: Manage staff schedules, resolve complex sitter inquiries, and occasionally step into the field to support the team.
- Data Driven Decision Making: Developing and managing field operations dashboards and metrics to track progress and department health.
- Safety First: Serve as an ambassador for safety, carrying out the company mission and ensuring all protocols are followed at all times.
- Community Advocate & Marketing: Contribute newsletter and social media content, participate in community outreach events to market services.

Logistical Requirements & Benefits:
- Schedule: Full-time, with core on-site hours 9am–5pm, M-F. Includes a regular on-call rotation and sharing holiday coverage, one to two each year at minimum.
- Location: Driving is required to perform evaluations and support sitters at multiple locations in Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, and DC.
- Qualifications: 5+ years of direct management, team training, and recruiting experience
- Health & Dental: Available for employees working 30+ hours after 60 days.
