PETROL STATION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (OIL & GAS)

Location: Multiple Sites / Field Based
Industry: Oil & Gas – Fuel Retail / Service Station Operations
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Facilities Engineer

Job Purpose

To ensure safe and efficient operation of all electrical, mechanical, and control systems across petrol stations through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems at fuel stations (dispensers, submersible pumps, lighting, panels, and control systems).
• Inspect and service equipment such as fuel dispensers, air compressors, level sensors, and automation panels.
• Troubleshoot faults in electrical circuits, PLC-based systems, and forecourt control units.
• Support calibration and testing of fuel dispensing and metering systems.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with HSE and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and spare parts usage.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency calls.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
• 3–6 years of experience in fuel station maintenance or Oil & Gas retail facilities.
• Knowledge of dispenser systems (Wayne, Gilbarco, Tokheim, etc.) preferred.
• Familiar with electrical safety, explosion-proof systems, and PTW procedures.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.
