Job Title: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Social Science & History

Job Summary:
The PGT Social Science & History Teacher is responsible for teaching History and other Social Science subjects to senior secondary students (Classes XI–XII), with a focus on conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and preparation for board and competitive examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver History and Social Science lessons as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE / ICSE / State Board, as applicable).
- Teach Indian History, World History, and related Social Science topics effectively.
- Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical writing, and interpretative skills.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, board examinations, and competitive exams where applicable.
- Set question papers, evaluate answer scripts, and maintain academic records.
- Guide students in projects, presentations, debates, and research-based assignments.
- Use innovative teaching strategies, timelines, maps, audio-visual aids, and digital tools.
- Encourage awareness of social, cultural, political, and historical perspectives.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
- Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students’ academic progress.
- Take additional responsibilities such as class teacher duties, exam invigilation, and school activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in History / Social Science / Political Science / Sociology / Geography
- B.Ed. (Mandatory)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level preferred
- Experience in handling board examination classes is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong subject knowledge in History and Social Sciences.
- Ability to connect historical events with contemporary issues.
- Excellent analytical, explanation, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in using maps, charts, timelines, and digital teaching tools.
- Effective classroom management and student mentoring skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
