Position: Business Development Executive / Manager – Indian Pharma Exports
Location: Flexible (India )
Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Role Overview

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to support the growth of our UK-focused pharmaceutical exports. The role requires building strong connections with Indian pharma manufacturers and UK distributors, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and developing long-term business opportunities in generics, APIs, nutraceuticals, and herbal products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Industry & Product Knowledge
  • Understand India’s pharma landscape (APIs, generics, vaccines, nutraceuticals).
  • Keep updated on UK market trends, especially NHS demand for generics and OTC products.
  • Networking & Business Development
  • Engage with Indian manufacturers (formulations, APIs, CMOs, nutraceuticals).
  • Build partnerships with UK importers/distributors (WDA holders).
  • Represent the company at trade fairs (CPHI, India Pharma Expo, UK Health Show).
  • Use B2B platforms (LinkedIn, IndiaMART, TradeIndia) for outreach.
  • Regulatory & Compliance
  • Understand CDSCO export licensing, WHO-GMP requirements, and CoA documentation.
  • Work with MHRA (UK) regulations, pharmacovigilance, and import licensing.
  • Support preparation of regulatory dossiers for product registration.
  • Export & Logistics Management
  • Prepare and manage export documentation (Proforma Invoice, COA, COO, Packing List, Bill of Lading).
  • Ensure correct INCOTERMS and contract compliance (FOB, CIF, DDP).
  • Coordinate cold chain logistics (for vaccines) and bulk shipping.
  • Market Development
  • Identify high-demand categories (oncology, antibiotics, antivirals, OTC supplements).
  • Explore opportunities in herbal and nutraceutical exports to the UK.
  • Develop a market entry strategy for UK buyers and distributors.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Pharmaceutical product knowledge (APIs, generics, OTC, nutraceuticals).
  • Export-import operations and documentation.
  • Regulatory affairs (India: CDSCO, UK: MHRA).
  • Business development & networking skills.
  • Supply chain & logistics knowledge.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
