Pharmacist

Job Purpose

To provide safe, accurate, and effective dispensing of medications in compliance with DOH regulations, ensuring optimal patient care and support to medical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with DOH regulations.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients on dosage, potential side effects, and proper medication usage.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including new drugs, generics, and treatment protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages or expired medications.
  • Ensure proper storage of medicines under required temperature and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled drugs, and stock movements as per DOH guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient therapy.
  • Counsel patients regarding drug interactions, contraindications, and safe usage.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and infection-control protocols in the pharmacy.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, and continuous professional development programs.
  • Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors in accordance with DOH policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Valid DOH (HAAD) Pharmacist Licence.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a hospital, clinic, or retail pharmacy.
  • Strong knowledge of DOH regulations, formulary, and controlled medication policies.
  • Excellent communication and patient-counseling skills.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and MS Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and high ethical standards in patient care and confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
