A pharmacist cum billing executive is responsible for both dispensing medications and managing billing and payment processes. Key duties include dispensing prescriptions, managing inventory and expiry dates, handling customer service, and accurately generating bills, processing payments, and reconciling cash. This role requires both pharmacy knowledge for dispensing and strong organizational and financial skills for billing. Core responsibilities

• Pharmacy duties:
• Dispensing medications accurately based on prescriptions.
• Providing patient counseling and ensuring correct dosages.
• Managing and monitoring drug inventory, including stocking and checking expiration dates.
• Maintaining stock levels and coordinating with suppliers.
• Billing duties:
• Generating and issuing invoices and bills to customers.
• Operating billing software to manage daily transactions.
• Handling cash and other payment methods (credit/debit cards, UPI).
• Reconciling cash and maintaining accurate records.
• Administrative and customer service:
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving billing-related issues.
• Managing documentation and records.
• Assisting with daily operational and administrative activities.
• Maintaining a professional and positive customer service environment.

Required skills and qualifications

• Pharmacy knowledge: Understanding of drug salts, proper dispensing, and medication management is crucial.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Marg ERP) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Communication skills: Strong ability to communicate clearly with patients, doctors, and other staff.
• Organizational skills: Excellent attention to detail for managing both inventory and financial records accurately.
• Customer service: Ability to handle patient interactions, including complaints and inquiries.
• Numerical and reconciliation skills: Strong ability to handle cash and reconcile reports accurately
