Our PACE Team (Pharmacy Assistance & Coordination Experts) is the heart of our patient experience. PACE Team members connect with patients on a regular basis — guided by each patient’s individualized plan of treatment and dosing schedule — to ensure that medication refills and supplies are delivered on time, every time, without disruption.

The Role:

As a Pharmacy Desk Technician on the PACE Team, you are the direct link between Sisu Healthcare Solutions and the patients we serve. You will manage the coordination of refills, proactively reach out to patients and providers, and work alongside our pharmacists and clinical staff to keep every patient’s therapy on track. This is not a traditional retail pharmacy position — you will work in a focused, relationship-driven environment where your attention to detail and genuine care for patients makes a measurable difference.

Schedule: This is a Monday through Friday position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular proactive outreach (phone) to patients based on treatment plans and dosing frequency to coordinate timely refill processing and delivery
• Process prescription refill orders accurately within pharmacy management and dispensing systems
• Communicate with prescribers, care teams, and insurance providers to obtain authorizations, resolve clarifications, and facilitate prior approvals
• Monitor patient profiles for upcoming refill windows, supply gaps, and therapy adherence concerns; escalate clinical questions to the pharmacist promptly
• Coordinate with compounding and dispensing staff to align production schedules with patient delivery timelines
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records including contact information, insurance details, and shipping addresses
• Document all patient and provider interactions in the pharmacy system per SOPs and HIPAA guidelines
• Support the team with insurance verification, billing inquiries, and benefits coordination as needed
• Contribute to a culture of compassion, urgency, and clinical excellence in every patient interaction

Qualifications:

Required

• Active Pharmacy Technician Registration/License in the state of AZ and or NV
• 1+ year of pharmacy technician experience (specialty, compounding, or closed-door)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable making high-volume outbound patient calls
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting
• Proficiency with pharmacy management software, CareTend. CPR+ and standard office tools (MS Office / MS Teams)
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
• General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques
• Basic pharmacy knowledge of reading and interpreting prescriptions
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently

Preferred

• 3+ years in a specialty, closed-door, or compounding pharmacy environment
• Prior authorization and insurance verification experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) — a plus but not required
