Pharmacy Operations
- Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations (OPD, IPD, emergency)
- Ensure accurate dispensing of medicines as per prescriptions
- Monitor drug storage conditions and cold-chain maintenance
- Maintain proper labeling, expiry, and batch tracking
Inventory & Procurement
- Plan and control drug inventory levels
- Place purchase orders and coordinate with approved vendors
- Monitor near-expiry and non-moving stock
- Conduct stock audits and physical verification
- Ensure availability of life-saving and emergency medicines
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Drug & Cosmetics Act and Pharmacy Council regulations
- Maintain statutory records:
- Schedule H / H1 / X registers
- Narcotic drug registers
- Support drug inspections and audits
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards (if applicable)
Team Management
- Supervise and train pharmacists and pharmacy assistants
- Prepare duty rosters and manage shift operations
- Monitor staff performance and discipline
Billing & Coordination
- Coordinate with billing, stores, nursing, and doctors
- Ensure accurate medicine billing for IPD/OPD
- Control drug consumption and wastage
- Support insurance and hospitalization billing when required
Quality & Safety
- Implement medication safety protocols
- Handle adverse drug reactions (ADR) reporting
- Ensure LASA (Look-Alike Sound-Alike) drug precautions
- Promote rational drug use
