The Pharmacy Store In-Charge is responsible for managing the complete medical store operations including receiving, storage, issuing, and inventory control of medicines and medical supplies. The role ensures compliance with DOH / DHA / MOH standards, maintains correct stock levels, and supports pharmacy operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Store & Inventory Management

  • Manage daily operations of the pharmacy store in compliance with DOH/DHA/MOH guidelines
  • Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature-controlled, expiry-wise arrangement)
  • Maintain FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) inventory method
  • Monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or excess inventory
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations

Receiving & Stock Handling

  • Receive medicines and consumables as per purchase orders
  • Verify quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates, and packing conditions
  • Prepare GRN (Goods Received Notes) and update in the system
  • Report discrepancies to procurement / pharmacist

Issuance & Coordination

  • Issue medicines and consumables to pharmacy and clinical departments based on approved requests
  • Coordinate with pharmacy team, nurses, and procurement for stock requirements
  • Track and document controlled drugs as per DOH regulations

Documentation & System Updates

  • Update inventory in ERP or pharmacy software
  • Maintain all stock registers, expiry logs, temperature logs, and controlled drug records
  • Prepare monthly consumption and stock reports

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure proper handling of controlled drugs, narcotics, and expensive medications
  • Maintain storage as per regulatory standards
  • Dispose expired or damaged medicines following DOH-approved procedures
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of the medical store

Team & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries
  • Supervise store assistants/support staff
  • Support internal audits, insurance audits, and DOH inspections

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma / Bachelor's in Pharmacy, Nursing, or related field (preferred but not mandatory depending on MOH/DOH rules)
  • 2–4 years of experience in pharmacy store / medical store handling
  • Knowledge of pharmacy inventory, FEFO, controlled drugs handling
  • Familiarity with DOH/DHA/MOH pharmacy guidelines
  • Experience using ERP/Pharmacy software (e.g., Oracle, Pharmware, etc.)
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
