The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Assists in the preparation and distribution of medications in a safe and effective manner under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and adheres to corporate/department policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws,

Primary duties include:

1, intake of new prescriptions including pertinent patient information and answering department phone;

2, prepares/packages medications for pharmacist verification;

3, Ability to interpret, calculate the data entry of prescriptions/insurance info

4,Calling insurance companies to resolve issues;

5,Initiating Prior Authorization process;

6,assists in pharmacy inventory management: inventory returns, restocking shelves, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, monitor for outdated drugs, and physical inventory preparation;

7,assists patients/ring out sales at POS while providing quality customer service in a timely manner;

8,process bank deposits;

9,Assists with prescription filing;

10,Follows USP <800> medication regulations when required;

11, Records the temperatures of the refrigerator and ambient room as required by NJ Board of Pharmacy;

12,Assists with ordering and maintaining the OTC (over-the counter) section within your department,
