Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician (Retail Pharmacy)
Location: Manchester, TN
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (25–40 hours/week)

Schedule / Hours

• Mon–Fri: 9:00am–6:00pm
• Sat: 9:00am–1:00pm (Closed Sunday)
• Team members typically work 8:30am until ~15–20 minutes after close
• Saturday rotation: typically less than one Saturday per month
• Hours of operation do NOT equal the times you are required to work. This will be discussed in the interview process

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused support in a community/retail pharmacy setting (in person, phone, and workflow coordination)
• Resolve insurance issues, rejections, and coverage problems; assist with prior-authorization-type follow-up as needed
• Prescription entry / data entry with accuracy and attention to detail
• Prescription filling support and workflow coordination (accuracy-first)
• Use pharmacy systems and tools including PioneerRx, Parata Max 2 Pro, RapidPak packaging, and Icon workflow tools
• Communicate clearly with pharmacists and teammates to support safe, efficient workflow
• Opportunity to support immunizations in a clinic-style environment (based on training/role fit)

Requirements

• Tennessee Pharmacy Technician registration required (can be obtained upon hire; we’ll walk you through it—fingerprints + background check)
• Must be able to pass the National Certification Exam (PTCB or equivalent)
• Ability to stand for most of the shift
• Focused at work (low distraction expected); team-oriented attitude
