Pharmacy Technician

• Maintain highest level of customer service while monitoring and reacting to ever changing service and patient needs
• Prepare prescriptions according to label provided, while verifying patient and medication information
• Retrieves, counts, pours, weighs, measures, and sometimes mixes medication
• Work closely with pharmacist to safely and accurately dispense medication in vials and blister packaging
• Call physicians and healthcare providers for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes on a prescription order
• Scan and stock shelves with new inventory
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least 1-year experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail setting
• Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) is a must
• Previous experience with Micro Merchant System preferable
