Pharmacy Technician

This job has a little of everything in a small community pharmacy.

Rx filling duties: including counting meds and labeling containers. This also includes: waiting on customers, checking customers out at the cash register, answering phones, taking orders from doctor’s offices, processing rxs trough the pharmacy software.

Compounding Rxs: this includes taking raw materials and putting them into usable dosage forms such as: Capsules, suspensions, creams, trans-dermal creams and more!

Office work: We use a book keeping service. So this part of the job includes uploading data on to a drive for the book keeper to use. Here are a few of the duties:

· Upload invoices

· Upload deposit slips

· Make bank deposits

· Cash register drawer balancing

· Opening mail

· Putting vaccine info on an excel spread sheet

This position will required applicant to either be a certified pharmacy technician or become one. An applicant has almost 2 years to become certified per State of Illinois regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

  • Pharmacy Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Pharmacy Technician License (Preferred)
