Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant Female

The Phlebotomist and Laboratory Assistant is responsible for collecting, labeling, and processing blood and other biological specimens for laboratory testing. This role ensures accurate specimen handling, supports laboratory operations, and assists in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and professional interaction with patients and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:Phlebotomy Duties:

• Collect venous, capillary, and arterial blood specimens following proper techniques and safety standards.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate labeling of all specimens.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Prepare specimens for transport or testing according to laboratory protocols.
• Provide compassionate and professional care to patients of all ages.

Laboratory Assistant Duties:

• Receive, log, and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Assist in routine laboratory procedures under the supervision of a technologist or supervisor.
• Enter and verify patient and test information in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Maintain inventory and restock laboratory supplies.
• Dispose of biohazard waste according to infection control and safety policies.
• Support quality assurance and quality control procedures as required.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); completion of a phlebotomy training program or certification (preferred).
• Experience: Previous experience in phlebotomy or clinical laboratory work preferred.
• Certification: Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent (preferred or required per employer).
• Skills:
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• Attention to detail and organizational ability
• Knowledge of specimen handling and infection control procedures

Pay: Rs30,000.00 - Rs40,000.00 per month
