Overview
The Physical Distribution Manager is responsible to oversee, manage and maintain overall distribution activity including production planning/scheduling, inventory control, customer service, Information Technology, warehousing and transportation in compliance with the Service Level Agreement and according to the Group best practices. PDM is responsible for order entry, import shipping and receiving, inventory management, sales of waste and off-quality materials, including knowledge and compliance of all DOT regulations, warehousing activities and monthly and quarterly distribution reporting.
Key Job Accountabilities
Strategic Contribution

Contribute to the organizational output with continuous and seamless distribution process and distribution centers, taking care of inbound as well as outbound deliveries as per LOPAK standards.

Build, execute and maintain Business Continuity Plan to ensure timely execution of Disaster recovery plan (DRP).
Policies and Guidelines
-
Participate with the Supply Chain Manager of Division to define and implement the operating rules (quality, deadlines, efficiency etc.) according to the rules defined by the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Steer the EHS policy with the QSHE of the site and ensure that objectives of the Distributor Delivery Centers are met, especially concerning safety, quality and environment.

Ensures adherence with regulations and compliance programs, policies, and procedures related to warehouse safety and environmental and health and safety.
Forecasting and Budgeting

Work closely with inside Sales, Marketing and supply chain team to develop inventory forecasts.

Manage and control total budgeted spending in the production and physical distribution and customer service areas.

Maintain the landed cost which includes approach/duties and taxes, warehouse and distribution costs.
Operations Management
-
Optimize physical logistics means and administrative flows in order to ensure the stock reliability.

Maintain inventory levels that are optimum in support of on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and transportation penalties.

Ensures products are received and stored daily according to established performance standards.

Ensure order processing in the system.

Manage the Outbound flow, local transport and delivery to customers as per the SLA to ensure primary sales delivery

Ensures the integrity of the inventory by managing returns from market and distributor expiries.

Oversee inventories to ensure obsolete and phased-out materials are disposed of in the most safe and economical way.

Operating IT systems to manage order timings, costs and stock levels.
Analytics

Analyzing data to assess performance, discover logistical problems and devise plans for improvements

Prepare required monthly and quarterly distribution reporting.
Relationship Management

Liaison with suppliers, freight forwarders, transporters, brokers, customs, regulatory authorities and port authorities to ensure smooth inbound from factories.

Guarantee customer satisfaction by delivering the correct product at the right time.

Oversees the resolution of customer/vendor issues and problems by liaising with external and internal customers to resolve service issues and non-compliance penalties.
Continuous Improvement

Leads to continuous improvement efforts that support productivity and labor efficiency

Assesses inbound and outbound workflows to minimize cycle time and operating costs.

Responsible for taking care of sustainability challenges by reducing carbon emissions and plastic usage in operations.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or BE-Engineering

Minimum Experience:
-
4– 6 years’ experience in Logistics and warehousing.
