Physician Assistant (PA)

Position Title: Physician Assistant (PA) – On-Site Medical Services

Location: Columbia Basin Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (JCCC), Moses Lake, WA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake physical examinations, medical assessments, and health histories
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state law and collaborative agreement
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized medical treatment plans
• Provide first aid, emergency response, and stabilization as required
• Participate in Disability Accommodation Committee (DAC) meetings and applicant file reviews
• Collaborate with mental health, substance abuse, dental, and wellness staff to support integrated care
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the Student Health Record (SHR)
• Establish and manage medical referrals for specialty and emergency care
• Participate in quality assurance, audits, training, and Job Corps assessments
• Provide health education and prevention counseling to students
• Report significant medical issues, incidents, and trends to the Health and Wellness Director and Center Director as required
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Job Corps PRH, and all applicable federal and state regulations
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in WA
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Formal collaborative agreement with a licensed Physician, in accordance with state scope-of-practice requirements, maintained for the duration of the contract
• Current DEA registration
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in primary care, family medicine, community health, correctional health, or school-based health
• Experience working with adolescents and young adults ages 16–24
