Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated PI Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury law and possess strong organizational skills to manage case files, conduct legal research, and provide comprehensive support throughout the litigation process. This role requires proficiency in various legal software and an understanding of multiple areas of law, including but not limited to family law, immigration law, and environmental law.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files and documentation.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Manage case calendars, deadlines, and schedules to ensure timely filing of documents.
- Perform document review and maintain accurate records within document management systems.
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases.
- Maintain communication with clients regarding case status and updates while exhibiting excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with attorneys on project management tasks related to litigation processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations including UCC law, tribal law & regulations, and workers' compensation law.
Requirements
- Proven paralegal experience in personal injury law or related fields is essential.
- Familiarity with various areas of law such as estate planning, landlord-tenant law, family law, patent law, securities law, and environmental law is preferred.
- Proficiency in legal software including PCLaw, iManage, and document management systems.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for effective case management.
- Experience in clerical tasks including data entry, filing, transcription, and proofreading.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis of legal issues effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interviewing clients and maintaining professional relationships within a law office environment.
