We are seeking a passionate and energetic Piano Instructor to inspire students of all ages and skill levels to discover the joy of music through the piano. In this dynamic role, you will deliver engaging lessons that foster musical growth, creativity, and confidence. Whether working with children, adults, or those with special educational needs, you will create a positive learning environment that encourages progress and a lifelong love of music. Responsibilities

• Develop customized piano curricula tailored to each student’s age, skill level, and learning style, incorporating elements of curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Deliver engaging, energetic lessons that motivate students and promote active participation in their musical growth.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for learners of all backgrounds.
• Use various teaching techniques such as tutoring, visual aids, and hands-on demonstrations to enhance understanding and retention.
• Support students’ overall development by integrating knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and special education strategies when necessary.
• Incorporate creative activities like photography or theater-based exercises to enrich the learning experience.
• Track progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and adjust lesson plans to meet individual goals.

Experience

• Proven experience in teaching piano or music education with a strong background in classroom management and lesson planning.
• Experience working with children, including early childhood education or preschool settings, is highly valued.
• Familiarity with adult education techniques for teaching mature learners seeking to learn or improve piano skills.
• Knowledge of diverse educational approaches such as special education strategies or behavior management techniques.
• Additional skills in related areas such as ballet, dancing, sewing, culinary arts, or theater are considered a plus for creating versatile lesson plans that engage students creatively.
• Demonstrated ability to foster a positive learning environment through patience, enthusiasm, and effective communication. Rate: $37 for existing students and $46 for new incoming students.
