Job Summary
United Academy of Music and Arts is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Music Educator dedicated to inspiring learners of all ages through the transformative power of music.
Duties
- Develop comprehensive music curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating various styles and genres
- Deliver engaging, interactive lessons that motivate students to explore their musical potential
- Must be willing to travel to students homes
- Must be willing to work with students who are neurodivergent
- Manage classroom environments effectively to promote positive behavior and focused learning
- Provide personalized tutoring sessions to support individual progress and address specific learning needs
- Incorporate elements of theater, ballet, or dance into musical instruction to enhance performance skills and stage presence
- Plan and organize performances, recitals, or showcases that highlight student achievements
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects such as photography, sewing, or culinary arts that integrate music into broader creative activities
- Adapt teaching strategies for students with special education needs or early childhood development requirements
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a respectful and productive learning atmosphere
- Engage with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and encourage ongoing support
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching music across diverse age groups, including preschool and early childhood education settings
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to individual student needs
- Demonstrated classroom management skills that foster a positive learning environment
- Experience working with children, students with special needs, or in adult education programs
- Ability to incorporate behavior management techniques effectively during lessons
- Familiarity with different instruments
- Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Passion for nurturing creativity through music while supporting holistic development in learners
Current pay is $30 per hour.
The pay will increase to $32.50 an hour starting July 2026.
You will get paid driving to students homes.
Both part time and full time roles are available.
