About the Role

As a Piano Teacher, you’ll guide mostyle young beginners (ages 4–12) and a few intermediate students through their musical journey — helping them learn rhythm, melodies, classical and performance basics on the piano.

This is an excellent opportunity for musicians or music students who enjoy working with children and want to grow as educators. You don’t need years of teaching experience — we provide training and support — but you must have good knowledge of music and have an understanding of classical sheet music reading.

Success in this role means students leave each lesson motivated, smiling, and eager to practice at home.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging small-group or individual music lessons using the Expresiones curriculum.
• Foster a positive and patient learning environment that builds kids’ confidence.
• Support students in learning their book level of piano.
• Communicate progress and updates with parents and the academy director.
• Assist with recitals, concerts, and other academy events.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors to maintain a consistent teaching approach.

Qualifications

• Musical background required — must play and understand with fluency at a performative level. Understand concepts of sight reading and be comfortable with both treble and bass cleff as well as different rhythmic patterns.
• Intermediate sight-reading ability preferred.
• Passion for working with children in a fun, creative environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, organized, and open to learning new teaching methods.
• Previous teaching or childcare experience is a plus but not necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
