Pizza Chef

The Pizza Chef (Pizzaiolo) is a skilled culinary professional dedicated to the preparation, assembly, and baking of all pizzas in our restaurant. This role is the heartbeat of our kitchen — responsible for crafting every pizza to the highest standard of quality, flavour, and presentation, from the first stretch of the dough to the moment it leaves the oven.

  • Prepare, stretch, top, and bake all pizzas in accordance with the restaurant's standardized recipes, portion guides, and presentation standards.
  • Hand-stretch or toss pizza dough to the correct size and thickness for each pizza style (Neapolitan, Roman, New York, or house style) without the use of a rolling pin.
  • Apply sauces, cheeses, and toppings accurately and consistently — ensuring correct portioning, even distribution, and visual appeal on every pizza.
  • Operate the wood-fired oven, deck oven, or stone-base oven with confidence — managing heat zones, pizza placement, rotation, and baking times to achieve the perfect crust.
  • Monitor oven temperature and baking conditions throughout service, making adjustments as needed to maintain consistent results.
  • Ensure every pizza is correctly cut, plated, and presented to the restaurant's standards before it leaves the pass.
  • Execute high volumes of pizza orders during peak service periods with speed, accuracy, and unwavering quality.
