Role Summary
Planners are responsible to estimate a timescale for a project and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met. They work closely with Setter Out, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure a project runs on schedule and that material supplies are sufficient.
Role Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling Support:

Assisting in the development of project timelines and detailed schedules for joinery and furniture manufacturing projects, from start to delivery

Learning to identify critical path activities, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks within the project lifecycle

Supporting the creation of baseline schedules, dashboards, and tracking reports to monitor project progress
Coordination & Communication

Acting as a key interface between the Setting-Out department, Procurement, Production, Logistics, Project Management, and external clients/parties

Facilitating effective communication to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project status, requirements, and deadlines

Assisting in managing project correspondence and documentation with external parties
Material & Resource Management Support

Collaborating with the Material Engineer and Procurement team to understand material requirements, lead times, and delivery schedules

Supporting the follow-up and follow-through of orders with the Procurement department, escalating issues and tracking delivery dates
Monitoring & Reporting

Supporting the preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports for management review

Assisting in tracking production progress and coordinating with the production team to resolve any communication or coordination issues

Learning to perceive project phases and plot dependencies on tracking reports to facilitate organized follow-through
Process Improvement

Contributing to increasing team efficiency by providing operational and administrative support

Proposing and assisting in implementing innovations in procedures to enhance departmental functionality and output
Qualifications
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design
Experience & Interest
-
3-5 years’ Experience in project planning, scheduling, and operations within the manufacturing or construction/fit-out industry

Worked on Extension of Time using different techniques
-
Baseline Schedules, updates, EVM, Weekly and monthly reports
-
Preparing the dashboards
-
Worked on Primavera P6, MS Project will be an advantage

Understanding the proper sequencing of the project
-
Working on Multiple projects
