The Role
We are seeking an experienced Planner / Planning Engineer to join our clients team and support planning and scheduling activities across a couple of active construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting within the construction sector, ideally on low-rise building projects. This role requires immediate availability and offers a confirmed long-term opportunity, pending final contractor appointment. Key activities: • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using MS Project • Prepare baseline programs, detailed schedules, and progress measurement systems. • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate planning inputs. • Track progress and prepare regular progress reports, dashboards, and performance analyses. • Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies. • Support claims analysis, delay assessments, and recovery schedules when required. • Monitor resource allocation, productivity, and sequencing of works. • Ensure compliance with project requirements, contracts, and reporting standards. • Assist in preparing presentations and schedule updates for internal and external meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. • 5–10 years of experience as a Planner / Planning Engineer in the construction industry. • Proven experience working on building projects • Strong command of MS Project; working knowledge of Primavera P6 is also acceptable. • Solid understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and resource planning. • Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills. • Ability to start immediately or on very short notice would be preferred
