Planner / QAQC Engineer – Architectural Joinery & Carpentry

Job Description

Marmi Engineering Co. W.L.L is seeking a Planner / QAQC Engineer with strong experience in architectural joinery and carpentry works to support our factory and project teams. The role combines production planning, scheduling, quality control, and documentation, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution of custom joinery works.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare production schedules for joinery and carpentry works based on project timelines.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, factory, and site teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Track progress, identify delays, and issue recovery plans when required.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

QA/QC Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for joinery and carpentry works.
• Inspect materials, fabrication stages, finishing, and installation works.
• Ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, material submittals, and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain ITPs, checklists, NCRs, and corrective action reports.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain organized records for quality documents and production logs.
• Support project handover and as-built documentation.
• Work closely with factory supervisors and site engineers to resolve quality or scheduling issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3–7 years experience in architectural joinery and carpentry (factory & site).
• Strong knowledge of:
• Custom joinery fabrication processes
• Finishes (veneer, laminate, paint, solid wood)
• Quality control standards for joinery works
• Experience in planning tools (MS Project / Primavera is a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and BOQs.
• Strong reporting and coordination skills.
• Experience in Qatar or GCC is preferred.
