Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Planner & Scheduler to develop, manage, and continuously improve maintenance planning and scheduling for critical equipment and systems. This role is key to ensuring high equipment reliability, efficient resource utilization, and safe execution of maintenance activities across operations. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent planning skills, and experience in industrial or power generation environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans for critical assets
- Optimize resource allocation (manpower, materials, tools, and equipment) to meet maintenance priorities
- Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and contractors to ensure smooth execution of plans
- Ensure compliance with HSE, environmental, and regulatory standards in all maintenance activities
- Analyze maintenance KPIs (reliability, MTBF, downtime) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex maintenance activities and system failures
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to ensure availability of critical items
- Prepare reports and present recommendations to management to support strategic maintenance decisions
- Utilize CMMS and data analysis tools to improve planning accuracy and performance
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
Experience:
- 6–12 years of maintenance planning & scheduling experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience in gasification or power systems is desirable
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance strategies (PM, PdM, RCM)
- Strong understanding of gasification, power production systems, and industrial equipment
- In-depth knowledge of HSE, environmental, and compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 55000)
- Proficient in maintenance data analysis and trend identification
- Strong project planning and resource optimization skills
- Advanced proficiency with CMMS and data analysis tools
- Strong MS Excel and project management tools skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional coordination and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and cost optimization
