Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The position (K0228859)
Gather and perform statistical analysis of air data for State Implementation Plans and other relevant planning documents. Examples of such data could include special air emissions inventory studies/surveys; review and comment on air quality or meteorological studies performed by EPA, Regional Planning Organizations and others; assist in application of dispersion modeling, mobile modeling and reviews of such modeling; provide training and support of facility information and emissions within bureau databases.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Research, draft, and prepare state implementation plans, policy documents, agreements, technical summaries, and other air-quality related documents. Research involves gaining an understanding of and gathering the technical and legal documentation necessary to ensure conformance with the objectives of federal and state programs. Duties may pertain to national ambient air quality standards, regional haze, greenhouse gas emissions, and other issues.
