Planning Engineer

Dear Candidates,

We are seeking a Planning Engineer to manage and optimize project scheduling, production planning, and resource allocation across our GRP manufacturing operations. The candidate must have hands-on experience with ERPNext or similar ERP planning software. Planning using Excel alone will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities / Job Roles

  • Project Scheduling & Planning
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for production, materials, and delivery timelines using ERPNext or similar software.
  • Track project milestones and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of GRP products.
  • Update schedules dynamically based on project progress, resource availability, and customer requirements.
  • Resource & Capacity Planning
  • Plan and allocateresources (manpower, machinery, and materials) efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to optimize workflow and capacity utilization.
  • ERP System Management
  • Maintain accurate planning and scheduling data in ERPNext or similar ERP systems.
  • Generate progress dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support management decisions.
  • Ensure all data entered in ERP is up-to-date, accurate, and reflects real-time production status.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Work closely with production, procurement, design, quality, and project teams to align schedules and resolve conflicts.
  • Communicate delays, risks, or changes in schedules proactively to management and clients.
  • Support project meetings by providing planning insights and status updates.
  • Risk & Issue Management
  • Identify potential project delays or resource shortages and implement mitigation plans.
  • Perform what-if analysis in ERP systems to forecast impacts of changes on schedules.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on project progress, material usage, and capacity utilization.
  • Maintain planning-related documentation for audits, client reviews, and management reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Recommend and implement process improvements in project planning and scheduling.
  • Ensure ERP system is used to its full potential to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years’ experience in project planning/scheduling in GRP, fiberglass, manufacturing, or construction.
  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience with ERPNext or similar ERP planning software.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
