Planning Engineer

QUALIFICATION:

BE/ME Civil Engineering

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to align site progress with schedules.

• Prepare baseline programs, recovery plans, and extension of time (EOT) claims.

• Track project progress and highlight risks, delays, or bottlenecks to management.

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.

• Ensure proper resource allocation (manpower, equipment, and materials) as per project plan.

• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and cash flow forecasting.

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs for planning accuracy.

• Conduct delay analysis and recommend corrective/preventive actions.

• Support the site team in achieving milestones within time, cost, and quality constraints.

Relevant Experience

• Minimum 4–7 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in construction industry projects (buildings, infrastructure, or industrial).

• Strong command of Primavera P6 and MS Project.

• Hands-on experience in project scheduling, resource planning, and progress monitoring.

• Exposure to EOT claims, delay analysis, and project controls.

• Practical knowledge of construction processes, contracts (FIDIC preferred), and site execution.

• Experience in preparing MIS reports, dashboards, and cash flow projections.

• Proven ability to coordinate between site teams, management, and consultants/clients.
