Job Purpose

The Planning Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, resources, and costs to ensure timely execution of construction projects. The role requires prior site engineering experience to effectively coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and site staff, ensuring practical and achievable project planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and stakeholders to align project timelines.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with project status, risks, and delays.
  • Track project progress against the baseline schedule and highlight deviations.
  • Assist in resource planning (manpower, materials, equipment) to meet project deadlines.
  • Support in preparation of cash flow forecasts, cost monitoring, and budget tracking.
  • Coordinate with procurement and contracts teams for timely delivery of materials and subcontractor works.
  • Participate in progress review meetings with clients, consultants, and management.
  • Identify potential risks, delays, and propose mitigation measures.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements.
  • Leverage prior site engineering experience to provide realistic planning inputs and monitor execution at site.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 2–4 years of proven experience as a Planning Engineer in civil construction projects (buildings/infrastructure).
  • Mandatory prior experience as a Site Engineer (minimum 1–2 years) in civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, resource allocation, and construction methods.
  • Good understanding of contracts, BOQs, and project costing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with ability to work in a team environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to be based at project sites as required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
