Planning Engineer

Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Set timelines and milestones for the project lifecycle, from pre-construction to project handover.
  • Coordinate with project managers and department heads to ensure resources (manpower, materials, and equipment) are available and properly allocated.
  • Monitor resource usage and make adjustments as needed to avoid delays.
  • Track daily and weekly progress on-site, identifying potential delays and recommending actions to mitigate them.
  • Prepare progress reports for stakeholders, including project managers and clients.
  • Identify risks that could impact project timelines or quality and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Communicate risk factors and solutions to the project team and management.
  • Work with the project cost control team to ensure that projects remain within budget.
  • Regularly review and adjust project schedules to avoid cost overruns.
  • Conduct periodic project reviews to assess overall performance and suggest areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in planning engineering within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other relevant planning tools.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works.
  • Familiarity with UAE construction laws and regulations (preferred if in the UAE).
  • Having a valid UAE driving License.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
