Planning Engineer

Job description

As a Planning Engineer you will play an essential role in our projects by overseeing and optimizing project schedules, resource allocation, and cost management. It is a big plus having a background in Landscaping.

You will ensure that our projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

· Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines using project management software.

· Coordinate with project managers, architects, and landscape designers to create realistic project schedules.

· Monitor and update project plans as needed to adapt to changing circumstances and ensure project success.

· Allocate resources, including equipment, labor, and materials, to ensure the efficient execution of landscaping projects.

· Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of required materials and equipment.

· Create and maintain project budgets, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

· Monitor project costs and work with the finance team to ensure projects stay within budget.

· Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

· Regularly assess project progress and address any deviations from the plan.

· Prepare regular progress reports and communicate project status to senior management, project stakeholders, and clients.

· Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and project-related data.

· Collaborate with various departments, including landscaping, construction, and maintenance teams, to ensure smooth project execution.

· Act as a point of contact for project-related inquiries and provide support to project managers and team members.

· Ensure that landscaping projects meet quality standards and specifications.

· Implement best practices and quality control measures to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the landscaping or construction industry.

· Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Knowledge of UAE regulations and industry standards for landscaping projects.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong time management and organizational skills.
