Urgent Requirement: Planning Engineer
Roles & responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, including scope of work, deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
- Define project activities, sequence of tasks, and dependencies to create comprehensive project schedules.
- Conduct cost estimation for project activities, materials, labor, and equipment based on project requirements and specifications.
- Develop project budgets and forecasts, considering factors such as inflation, currency fluctuations, and contingency reserves.
- Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, based on project needs and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of materials and services at competitive prices.
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs or timelines.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address unforeseen events and minimize project disruptions.
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and forecasts.
- Track and report variances, analyze cost trends, and recommend corrective actions to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to financial targets.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, expenditures, and financial transactions.
- Prepare regular progress reports, financial statements, and cost analysis reports for project stakeholders and management.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align planning and costing activities with project goals and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external vendors to coordinate activities and resolve cost-related issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum4-6 years’ experience in Oil and Gas / Building and Infrastructure Field.
- Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and budget management. (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project), strong analytical and Problem-solving Skills.
- Strong analytical skills to accurately estimate costs and develop budgets.
- Understanding of financial principles, cost control techniques, and budgeting processes.
- Familiarity with engineering principles, construction methods, and project management software/tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders and present complex information clearly and concisely.
