Planning Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Planner Engineer to provide strategic planning leadership for complex brownfield petrochemical projects. This role is critical to the successful development and execution of project planning frameworks, particularly during FEED and Pre-FEED phases.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred)
• Minimum 17 years of experience in project planning and controls, with a strong focus on brownfield and petrochemical plant environments
• Extensive involvement in FEED and Pre-FEED phases
• Proven experience working on Middle East industrial projects
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of stakeholders
• Deep technical understanding of project planning methodologies and tools
• High attention to detail and ability to manage complex planning deliverables under tight timelines

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of project planning strategies , frameworks, and deliverables during early project phases
• Define and implement Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Project Coding Systems to ensure clarity and control of project scope
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align planning activities with project objectives
• Provide expert input into project execution plans, risk assessments, and resource planning
• Interface with clients and internal leadership to communicate planning insights, risks, and recommendations
• Mentor and guide junior planning staff, ensuring consistency and quality across planning deliverables
