Planning Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planning Engineer with experience in joinery and interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely and efficient project execution in line with production and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules for joinery and fit-out works
• Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and site teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely execution
• Track project progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions
• Plan and allocate materials, manpower, and production timelines effectively
• Review shop drawings and align planning schedules with production and installation requirements
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely material delivery
• Analyze project risks and prepare mitigation plans
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports to management
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and budget constraints

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of UAE experience in joinery/interior fit-out planning
• Strong understanding of joinery production and installation processes
• Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera (P6) and AutoCAD
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills

Preferred Skills (Optional but Advantageous)

• Experience in high-end residential or commercial fit-out projects
• Knowledge of resource loading and cost tracking
• Familiarity with ERP systems
