Description:

The Planning Engineer is responsible to prepare, execute and follow up production plans. Order Materials shortages that will ensure the effective utilization of machines, material and manpower and will fulfill the Company delivery commitment to its customers.


Work Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzes production requirements and generate production plans and work orders based on: Customer orders (local and export), Internal material requests, Sales forecasts (local and international), and other additional production needs.
  2. Reviews and adjusts production plans to establish optimal delivery schedules for: Customer Inquiry Forms, New product launches, and Customer purchase orders.
  3. Works closely with the Purchasing department to ensure the timely procurement of essential materials.
  4. Collaborates with other departments to ensure adherence to production schedules.
  5. Addresses and implements corrective actions to resolve scheduling and production issues.
  6. Maintains regular communication with the Sales department regarding delivery capabilities and production schedules.
  7. Updates delivery schedules as needed to align with customer requirements and production adjustments.
  8. Prepares requirements according to their priorities.
  9. Leads the effective implementation of ERP systems, utilizing the MPC module for planning and scheduling.
  10. Leverage system capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in production planning.
  11. Manages and supports others on Production planning and scheduling issues, Production requirements and resource needs, Foundry performance and other relevant production factors.
  12. Uses the Company related softwares and applications professionally.
  13. Performs any additional duties or responsibilities assigned by Management


Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 2 - 5+ years of experience.
  3. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with other teams like Sales, Purchasing, and Production.
