Planning Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer for building construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination to ensure timely completion of works. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project controls, and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare baseline construction schedules using Primavera P6.
• Develop detailed work programs, recovery plans, and resource-loaded schedules.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress.
• Coordinate with site engineers, construction managers, consultants, and subcontractors regarding project timelines.
• Track project milestones and identify delays or risks affecting project completion.
• Prepare progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and delay analysis reports.
• Monitor manpower, machinery, and material utilization against project schedules.
• Assist in planning excavation, structural, finishing, and MEP activities.
• Update schedules based on actual site progress and prepare revised programs where required.
• Support project management in cost control and productivity monitoring.
• Ensure planning activities comply with project specifications and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in planning and scheduling for building construction projects.
• Strong command of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Good understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Experience in high-rise, commercial, or residential building projects preferred.
• Ability to prepare progress reports, S-curves, and resource histograms.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and project reporting tools is preferred.
