Planning Engineer - Mechanical

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using tools like Primavera P6.
  • Perform critical path analysis and resource levelling to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports highlighting deviations and proposing corrective.

Cost Control & Budget Management:

  • Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and forecasting.
  • Conduct cost variance analyses and implement measures to maintain budget adherence.
  • Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to align expenditures with project milestones.

Project Setup & Controls Implementation:

  • Collaborate with project management and document control teams to establish effective project control systems.
  • Define and implement project control processes, tools, and procedures in line with company standards.

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:

  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, including progress, cost, and schedule updates.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment on project.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 6–7 years of experience in Planning & scheduling within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on offshore and onshore projects.
  • Proven experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) phases.
  • Prior involvement in ADNOC projects or major oil and gas projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Planning & scheduling software such as Primavera P6 & MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of cost control methodologies and project scheduling techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in the Middle East.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with ADNOC-specific requirements and standards.
  • Background with reputed EPC contractors operating in the Middle East.
  • Familiarity with International regulatory standards and project execution practices.
