The Planning Manager at
Hafeet Rail
will be responsible for managing all the information and processes required to estimate, plan and control the schedules for the design, manufacturing, delivery, construction and testing and commissioning of railway projects from pre-contract award to revenue operation, in accordance with Hafeet Rail established standards and protocols.
Principal Accountabilities
Core:

Review, evaluate and approve contractors’ baseline, detailed schedules and resource plans in accordance with Hafeet Rail’s master schedule and agreed upon timelines for major milestones.

Responsible for managing the Company's Primavera Database and subsequent Master Project and Stakeholder Schedules.

Responsible for preparing and maintaining internal schedules for the activities pertinent to railway projects and provide assistance and guidance to the on- site project team, in order to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner.

Accountable for monitoring program control activities associated with the planning, design, construction and commissioning of the rail network (e.g. document control, performance, reporting, cost & scheduling, change management and contract administration).

Track contractors and sub-contractors' progress and participate in the provisioning of on- site progress meetings in order to identify and resolve issues and determine any potential impediments that may hinder the project's progress.

Review contractors' and consultant reports and evaluate status pertinent to project progress by conducting on-site visits to follow-up up on railway systems works and deliverables in order to assess adequate match with the project updates highlighted in the report.

Lead scheduling forensic analysis related to claims and variation orders, etc. in order to identify and resolve challenging issues/ obstacles that may arise and ensure all railway scheduling documentation is kept up to date.

Create various project status reports tailored to accommodate different audiences, ranging from executives to supervisors in order to ensure intended communication and updates are adequately conveyed.

Monitor the interface milestone between railway project contracts, identify and manage the critical external Iinks accordingly and coordinate with concerned interface parties to foresee and resolve issues that may come up by taking the necessary remedial actions.

Ensure the PMC scheduling, reporting function and site planning is carried out in line with quality and safety standards and provide support to project team as and when required in order to ensure all the project requirements are effectively and timely met and operations is progressing smoothly.

Establish and enforce governance and quality control measures to ensure adherence to Programme specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements. Implement robust assurance processes to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
General:

Provide assistance to Hafeet Rail’s other business units on issue pertaining to job function; participate in performing routing checks and inspections to ensure the highest safety and quality standards are being maintained if required.

Adapt to, and participate in, any programs/changes in Hafeet Rail including but not limited to tartegic initiatives, operational initiatives and performance uplift tasks; conduct any relevant work that may result from these changes as an integral part of this job description and employment contract.

Help support the organization in extraordinary events such as claims by contractors, dispute reviews and participation in arbitration.

Perform any other activity as required by the company both at the company premises and remotely when requested by the company.

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or relevant field.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience.
Other Skills:
-
Oracle Primavera P6 Project Management.
-
PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or AACE International (Planning & Scheduling Professional).
-
PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) or AACE Quantitative Risk Analysis.

Rail Management Certification.
