Planning Manager

  • The Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the strategic and operational planning processes across the poultry production value chain, including breeder, hatchery, broiler farms, feed supply, and processing plants. The role ensures alignment of supply and demand to achieve optimal productivity, efficiency, and profitability, while maintaining high standards of biosecurity and quality.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement integrated production plans for all poultry operations (breeding, hatching, growing, and processing).
  • Coordinate with departments (production, procurement, sales, logistics) to ensure alignment of production volumes with market demand and sales forecasts.
  • Optimize feed allocation, chick placement schedules, and grow-out cycles to maximize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules in response to changing market conditions, health and performance metrics, and seasonal factors.
  • Ensure compliance with biosecurity protocols and food safety regulations throughout the planning process.
  • Analyze performance data (e.g., feed conversion ratio, mortality rates, growth performance) to improve planning accuracy and production efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials (feed, vaccines, packaging) and finished goods to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Prepare regular planning reports and dashboards for senior management with key KPIs.
  • Support strategic decision-making related to expansion, capacity planning, and capital projects.
  • Lead a team of planners and analysts, ensuring continuous development and performance improvement.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Production, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning or supply chain management in the poultry or livestock industry, preferably in the GCC region.
  • Strong understanding of poultry production cycles and technical aspects of broiler/breeder operations.
  • Proficiency in planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific ERP tools).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
