The Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing project planning and scheduling activities to ensure timely and successful completion of construction projects. The Planning Manager will closely monitor project progress, manage risks, and support project teams with the tools and guidance needed to address planning challenges.

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines using Primavera P6, establishing milestones and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Lead the preparation, establishment, and refinement of schedule management plans and procedures, implementing consistent reporting and control practices.
  • Create and maintain an integrated program-wide schedule, working with the Project Director to align with the work breakdown structure (WBS).
  • Oversee the integration of scope, cost, and schedule within the WBS, ensuring ongoing accuracy in project mapping and documentation.

Analysis, Reporting & Productivity Monitoring

  • Conduct in-depth planning analysis and prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders, providing data-driven insights to support project decision-making.
  • Monitor productivity across project phases, identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Provide regular statistical and performance reports, presenting data on project schedules, variances, and critical paths to management.

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Interface with clients, project management consultants and stakeholders, participating in regular meetings to review progress and risk management.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to monitor project progress, addressing issues as they arise to maintain adherence to schedules.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings with contractors, supervision consultants, and clients to review schedules, performance metrics, and risk mitigation plans.

Procurement & Tender Support

  • Assist in developing the program’s procurement strategy, establishing associated phasing timelines, and regularly updating these to reflect project needs.
  • Respond to bidders' queries during tender periods, ensuring clarity and accuracy in scheduling requirements.

Risk & Flexibility Management

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent project delays and enhance schedule integrity.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and demonstrate flexibility in work schedules, including accommodating overtime as necessary to meet project demands.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Oversee the work of Planning Engineers and Specialists, analysing and evaluating project progress against critical milestones.

Demonstrate leadership by guiding and supporting team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
