About Your Team

This role sits within the Planning Department and reports directly to the Senior Project Manager or Operations Manager. The department is responsible for comprehensive project planning, controls, and reporting across the lifecycle of interior fit-out works. You’ll collaborate closely with construction managers, commercial teams, site engineers, and senior leadership to ensure the seamless execution of project programmes.

Your Role

As a Planning Manager, you will:

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, establish critical paths, and manage resource allocations.
• Set up activities, coding structures, milestone schedules, and project calendars with construction teams.
• Monitor site progress, record actuals, prepare progress reports, and highlight potential bottlenecks.
• Conduct delay analysis and collaborate with construction managers to suggest recovery actions.
• Coordinate subcontractor programmes ensuring alignment with project master schedules.
• Mentor, train, and manage the Planning Team, ensuring high standards of delivery.
• Lead overall planning reporting to senior management, highlighting risks and proposing solutions.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of project planning experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within the high-end fit-out sector. Must have a proven track record with a Tier 1 contractor and exposure to both traditional and Design & Build (D&B) projects.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of planning methodologies, scheduling tools, and programme controls specific to interiors and large-scale construction projects. Must be contract-savvy and familiar with baseline programme development, critical path, and windows analysis.

Expertise:

Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office Suite, with exposure to CCS or equivalent planning software. Able to prepare and analyze claims, develop detailed time- and cost-loaded reports (daily/weekly/monthly), and perform delay analyses.

Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Skills:

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Capable of client interfacing and safeguarding project and company positions. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate career stability and consistency (not changing companies every 1–2 years).
