Job Description: Project Control Manager – Construction Industry (Residential and commercial projects)
Project Location :- Fujairah
Position Summary:
The Project Control Manager is responsible for preparation, managing and coordinating all project control activities including scheduling, cost control, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, progress monitoring, risk analysis, and reporting. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, Engineers, contractors, consultants, and clients. The role also supports project managers and senior leadership in making informed decisions to keep the project on track and aligned with project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Management
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Monitor progress against the baseline schedule.
- Identify schedule delays and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Interface with construction teams to update schedules and resource plans
Cost Management
- Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and track project costs and cash flows.
- Conduct cost variance analysis and prepare cost reports.
- Implement cost control systems and procedures.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project KPIs such as Earned Value Management (EVM), SPI, CPI, etc.
- Generate regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present project status updates to management and clients.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Conduct risk analysis and update risk registers regularly.
- Coordinate with project teams to manage and control project risks.
Change Management
- Evaluate the cost and schedule impact of project changes.
- Maintain a change log and ensure proper change control processes.
- Ensure all change orders are properly documented and approved.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead a team of planners, schedulers, cost engineers, and analysts.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance teams.
- Support decision-making by providing data-driven insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management from reputed and recognized institutions/university
- 10 -12 years of experience in residential and commercial construction projects including underground and MEP works in UAE or in GCC region, out of which minimum 5-7 years must be as project control manager in UAE.
- Proficiency in project control software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Oracle, Excel).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts (e.g., FIDIC), and project lifecycle.
- PMP, CCP, or PMI-SP certification is a plus.
