WHO WE ARE

At American Meadows, our Purpose is Doing Good Through Gardening. We’re home to two distinct gardening brands:

  • American Meadows: the leading authority on meadowscaping
  • High Country Gardens: the go-to for sustainable gardening in the Western U.S.

With over a decade of double-digit growth and a passionate customer base of gardeners nationwide, we’re entering a pivotal chapter — investing in new tools, new talent, and new ways of working to help even more people grow something meaningful.

WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’re a data-driven planner who thrives on turning insight into action. We’re looking for a Planning and Procurement Manager who can turn seasonal forecasts into detailed, actionable plans. You’ll lead procurement and inbound logistics execution, manage vendor relationships and compliance, and optimize inventory levels across annual cycles.

This is a cross-functional role critical to ensuring we meet demand with precision and agility — safeguarding timelines, supporting production and fulfillment, and minimizing seasonal bottlenecks.

THIS ROLE IS IDEAL FOR SOMEONE WHO:

  • Has 3–5 years of experience in planning and procurement, ideally in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or with perishable goods (warehouse, retail, grocery, catering, etc.)
  • Understands seasonal capacity planning and how it impacts execution
  • Thrives in process development and continuous improvement
  • Is excited to be the first Planning & Procurement Manager at American Meadows
  • Enjoys cross-functional collaboration
  • Is interested in people leadership (potential for future management)
  • Is comfortable working in an ERP environment (i.e., Acumatica)
  • Can balance long-term planning with fast paced in-season decision making

REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICATION

We don’t want a generic cover letter. Instead, please answer the following three questions in your application (don’t overthink them — we’re more interested in how you think than how you write):

  • How would you create an artifact or dashboard that documents the final decisions or plans that come out of monthly alignment sessions?
  • What is a challenge you’ve experienced in procurement or logistics and how did you overcome it?
  • Tell us what excites you most about this role at American Meadows.
