Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Plant Maintenance Manager role in Vancouver, WA. - Supervise and manage mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule to support production readiness.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of food processing and packaging equipment, conveyor systems, freezing systems, and ammonia refrigeration systems (as applicable).
- Plan, assign, and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities across hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, power transmission, welding/fabrication, balancing, and alignment.
- Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support for industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and controls (including control circuits, sensors, instrumentation, VFDs, and HMI/automation systems) to minimize downtime.
- Oversee the operation, installation, repair, and maintenance of plant utilities including water, gas, steam, compressed air/vacuum, and electrical systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance staff to build a high-performing team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent vocational experience required.
- 7–10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- 3–5 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power and motor controls.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting PLC systems, sensors, relays, and automation equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check (including employment and education verification), and credit screen.
- Willingness to work extended schedules and weekends during the fresh pack season (typically July through early November).
- $120,000 – $132,500/year competitive salary.
