Plant Maintenance Manager

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Plant Maintenance Manager role in Vancouver, WA. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule to support production readiness.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of food processing and packaging equipment, conveyor systems, freezing systems, and ammonia refrigeration systems (as applicable).
  • Plan, assign, and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities across hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, power transmission, welding/fabrication, balancing, and alignment.
  • Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support for industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and controls (including control circuits, sensors, instrumentation, VFDs, and HMI/automation systems) to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee the operation, installation, repair, and maintenance of plant utilities including water, gas, steam, compressed air/vacuum, and electrical systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance staff to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent vocational experience required.
  • 7–10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • 3–5 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power and motor controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC systems, sensors, relays, and automation equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check (including employment and education verification), and credit screen.
  • Willingness to work extended schedules and weekends during the fresh pack season (typically July through early November).
