Job Summary:
The Plant Operator is responsible for providing expertise to ensure plants are operating and maintained in optimal conditions, providing chilled water at design conditions in a continuous, safe, and efficient manner with all equipment and controls functioning at peak performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Plant Operations:

Continuously monitors equipment through SCADA/Manual according to plant O/M procedures and standards, all operating equipment/systems, as per operational procedures.

Performs technical/operational duties in coordination with technicians for any problems/faults that arise in the plant.

Monitor system performance and make adjustments.

Conduct routine equipment inspections.

Respond to alarms and system alerts.
Maintenance Support:

Assist in troubleshooting and identifying issues.

Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks.
-
Issue work permit for the maintenance activities and perform Lock-Out Tag-out procedure.

Liaises with internal/external maintenance/technical staff to resolve technical deficiencies, as required.
Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of plant operations.

Provides regular status reports of O/M of plants, to supervisor.
WERA Requirements:

Raw data collection.
-
Collection and storage of supporting data and information.
-
Generation of final data.
-
Data transfer to the relevant templates.
-
Submission of the final data to WERA.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Qualifications:
-
Certificate/ITI/Diploma (Air conditioning, Operation Skill,) or relevant filed.
Experience:
-
Total of 2-5 years of experience in the Relevant Industry, out of which 2 years at an Operator level
Skills:
-
Basic engineering skills
-
Experience in SCADA system.

Good knowledge in Safety standards
-
Knowledge in HVAC systems and equipment such as Chillers, cooling tower and pumps etc.
