Plastic Injection Mold Maintenance and Repair

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Plastic Injection Mold Maintenance and Repair. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, and minor repairing plastic injection molds to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills and manufacturing knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount.

<Responsibilities>

• Perform preventative maintenance on plastic injection molds to prevent defects and downtime.
• Knowledge of setting large molds in preparation for molding products.
• Handle materials safely using proper handling techniques with overhead crane, forklifts, for moving heavy mold components.
• This is a 40 hour per week job. Starting time flexible to fit your schedule. For the right individual we would consider a part-time basis.

<Skills>

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics injection molding processes.
• Maintain injection molds, ranging from a few hundred to 12,000 pounds. This requires knowledge of an injection mold anatomy
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience with disassembling and assembly with the aid of overhead cranes.
• Know-how a plus: Surface grinder, lathe, welding, understanding of mold print.
• Candidate should be well organized, keeping work area clear of clutter and self-motivated.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
