Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Playgroup Teacher to join our Early Years team. The ideal candidate will possess a warm personality, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for early childhood education. They should be able to create a stimulating, safe, and joyful learning environment that supports social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in young learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote curiosity and learning through play.
• Develop students’ foundational skills in communication, motor development, creativity, and social interaction.
• Incorporate hands-on learning, art, music, storytelling, and sensory activities to enhance development.
• Foster a caring, inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and independence.
• Assess and document each child’s progress, sharing feedback with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency and holistic learning experiences.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding classroom updates and student well-being.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, safety protocols, and early childhood education standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of teaching experience in Early Years or Playgroup settings preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a joyful and nurturing learning environment.
• Familiarity with early childhood learning strategies, STEM-based activities, and modern educational tools.
• A compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach toward working with young children.
